Vockets offer women a way to protect their cell phones and keep them close by at all times.

Here are 10 tips on how your cell phone can help you more:

  1. You can turn your iPhone into a virtual measuring tape.  So handy when you are out shopping and need to get the measurements of an item.  Check out the app called Measure and follow the instructions.
  2. Forgot your readers – no problem – there are many free magnifying glass apps.  Perfect if you are out to a restaurant and need to read the menu or out shopping and can’t read the price tags.  I love this app!
  3. Did you know that your camera can scan QR codes? You don’t need a special QR code reader.  Just hold your camera up to the code and it links instantly.
  4. Siri can tell you who’s calling you – so if your phone is tucked away you’ll still know who’s calling. If you go to settings>phone>announced calls – you will have choices as to when you’d like her to announce calls such as only in the car, headphones, or always. I chose “always”.
  5. Use the built in Level – just open the Measure app and look at the bottom for Level. When your phone is turned sideways it becomes a leveler.  Perfect when hanging pictures!
  6. See your step count. If you are tired of losing or forgetting your fitness tracker.  You’ve always got one with you if you have your phone with you.  Just go to the Health app that comes with your phone, the one with the heart on it.
  7. Siri Shortcuts – you can program Siri to perform a task by recording a code phrase for it.  Instead of giving Siri the details of an address – you can program in words like “let’s visit sis” and you’ve got a great shortcut.  The phrases are fun to create – you just have to remember them.  You may want to program in “help me de-stress” and siri can take you the a meditation app.  Go to Settings>siri – search for “suggested shortcuts”.
  8. Photo Fun – Take more “live” photos.  Then you will have the opportunity to Swipe Up to do fun things with it.  You can Loop, Bounce or add a Long Exposure.  Try it to see how it works!
  9. Have Siri play a podcast for you.  As long as you have a list of podcasts you are interested in hearing – you can just ask Siri to play them for you.  Perfect for long car rides or when you are traveling.  Here is my personal favorite.  Ted Talk:  /brene_brown_on_vulnerability
  10. Create a medical ID for emergencies.  You can set up your important medical information in the Health app.  You can put your blood type, medical contact.  First  responders and hospital personnel can see this without unlocking your phone.   This could be a life-saver!

Now that you have your cool tips, here is a great way to carry your iPhone with you all of the time.
