Fashion Blog – Spring/Summer Trends 2019

Below are the top fashion trends for Spring and Summer 2019.  After reviewing trends from top end magazines, designers and top blogs these are the top ten wearable trends I recommend for this coming season!

  1. Animal Prints – good news – if you bought a leopard print last season, it’s still big this season. They were on the catwalks at fashion week.  The most popular animal print is Snakeskin and Leopard prints.  Our black vest vocket looks terrific on a leopard print top and given you the freedom of going without a purse!
  2. Layering – Layering is still popular and there are so many great blogs showing exactly how to do it right this spring. Putting an oversize knit sweater over a cute dress is popular and then as we move into warmer weather try putting a simple white t under a sleeveless summer dress.  Jumpers are also making a come-back – perfect for more casual layering.  Jumpers are is also great to wear with Spanx new “Arm tights”!  While you are layering – don’t forget to layer on a Vocket with whatever you are wearing.  There is a Vocket for every outfit you’ve got styled this spring.
  3. Neon Colors – Vibrant colors are popular this year – neon green is the newest trend or bright yellow.  Wearing neon shows daring and confidence.  Don’t be intimidated – look how great Alaina looks sporting this look.
  4. Maxi Skirt – Think Folk vibes! The Maxi skirt will be very on-trend this spring.  You’ll be able to wear it out casually and comfortably or dress it up to look cool and sophisticated.
  5. Solid Pastels – This trend caters to the whole minimalist feel. Putting a similar color top and bottom provides a clean classic look.  Pastels such as yellow, mint and blue are being seen with this one color.  I think we will see a lot of white on white this summer.  Beige is making a comeback – think 50 shades and mix them up
  6. Statement Sleeves, Tie Tops & Off the Shoulder Tops – tie tops are big – they work beautifully with Maxi Skirts and they look great with the new trend in high-waisted jeans. Statement Sleeves continue to grow from bell sleeves & open arms sleeves to button embellishments or fringe!  Off-The-Shoulder tops continue the trend this spring as well.
  7. Tie Dye – Similar to the Maxi Skirt trend, the tie die trends are bohemian feeling but a little more tailored. We are seeing tie-dye prints on more sophisticated pieces for a fresh twist on that old nostalgic tie-dyed T-shirt.
  8. Color Blocking – The pairing of two or three totally different solid colors together creates this bold new look. If you are a little nervous of this trend – color block some solid neutrals with a pop of one bright color to start.
  9. Polka Dots – Several fashion designers featured them with with their new print introductions this year. The new edgy version is with some big bold polka-dots!  The look is always a classic, look for this new revival.
  10. Busy Prints – At the Milan Fashion week there were many bold and busy prints. Combining different prints together is a great way to stand out from the crowd.  You can pair polka dots and stripes or even two different floral patterns for a creative look.
